2007 African American Heritage Calendar
Product DescriptionThe 2007 "Memories" calendar is a tribute to the resilience of African American. The collection of images documents two catastrophic natural disasters in which African Americans suffered immense losses: Hurricane Katrina and the flooding of New Orleans in 2005, and the Flood of 1927 in Greenville, Mississippi, as well as a man-made disaster, The Tulsa, Oklahoma Riot of 1921. This calender is dedicated to the survivors of Hurricane Katrina dn to the memories of dearly departed civil rights pioneers Rosa Parks and Coretta Scott King, who evoke our memories of an era gone by. Rebuilding New Orleans and returning its former residents is one of the most critical American civil rights issues of the 21st Centruy.
