Youssour Koumbassa

In this video, for the first time, Youssouf Koumbassa, Master dancer and choreographer, formerly of the National Ballet of Guinea, acclaimed teacher and director of his own company "Les Ballets Bagata" in New York, brings you his unique energy, grace and style in a teaching presentation of traditional dances from his homeland, Guinea. Dances include: Sofa, Soli, Yankadi, Coucou and Lamban. Youssouf demonstrates each dance at half tempo and at normal speed. He is then joined by dancers and musicians in a high energy demonstration that will make you want to move.
