Trace the path of the struggle for African-American equality with Civil Rights. Three-page articles feature eloquent narratives on highlights of the civil rights movement in the United States, from pre-Civil War through the 1960's. Topics included are the Emancipation Proclamation, the Montgomery bus boycott, sit-ins, the March on Washington, and others. Follow-up worksheets allow students to respond creatively to the readings.
