Bolokada Conde and the Griots of Sankaran. This album highlights master drummer, Bolokada Conde, and the griot singers of Sankaran. Griot's or Djeli's are Oral historians and serve as the cultural preserver in Malinke society. Griots are taught from birth to memorize long stories and histories of people, families and rulers.
